Thread: 1/3 of lcd screen is black

I have a dell inspiron 6000 lap top, the bottom 1/3 of the screen has gone black with some verticle lines in it, anybody know how to fix this problem. Thank you

If it's constantly like that from start up and (after windows has loaded) then it sounds like either the video card or screen is damaged, would be best to contact dell.

Or if it only happens when using the laptop, you could try updating the video card drivers.
