My Computer

Question 103 Charge Circuit Failure

103 Charge Circuit Failure

Anyone know how to fix this?

The laptop is running fine on an AC Adapter, but battery does not charge, nor does the laptop come on with the battery alone. (Click on "My Computer" for my laptop specs)

I have had exactly the same experience, the problem is the electronics in the laptop battery, which has given the battery the appearance of being open circuit and therefore obviously unable to charge. The frusterating fact is that due to the failure of an electronic component in the battery costing a few coppers you are lumbered with the need to spend anything up to £100 for a replacement. I have stripped and examined my battery and although I am an electronic engineer, I have found it not possible to safely attempt a repair on my battery.
