Hi all. a friend of mine (who is even more computer iliterate than myself! ) came to with a compaq presario laptop, running windows xp, an intel centrino and 1 gig of ram, the machine is 18 months old and has just stopped it was working one day, not very quickly but working, then it stopped. if you press the power on, the fan starts, then stops after 1 second and the power light flickers and goes off, can you help? regards oldbull
