Uninstall ANY drivers you've installed up until now.
Shutdown your computer, disconnect the sound card. Start your PC up again. After Windows has loaded, shut it down once again (i know, just do it )

Now, properly connect the audio card back to your PCI slot. Start Windows up. Insert the CD that came with the card and install the drivers as they instruct you with whatever autoplay screen comes up.
