Default 2 email accounts open at the same time?

Hi, all.

Here's a copy and paste from a friend of mine. Any solutions please!

"If you know how to open 2 mail windows for the same provider, I'd be very grateful. I have 2 different Yahoo email accounts, but it only recognises one at a time, which is a bit of a problem, as I'm always doing several things at once"

David

Well one idea would be to use a software package such as Outlook. Yahoo! Mail can only be redirected into that though when paid for, so I would recommend he uses something like gmail, which is totally free.

Oh I misread the question, I thought he was trying to do more than one thing at a time with the same account! My method would still work, but I don't think it's necessary.

As ferg suggested, try using different browsers.

May actually be able to use different versions of the same browser, eg. firefox 3 beta and firefox 2, (if you install to different folders) - may work, untested however.

I use Thunderbird to handle about 10 email accounts simultaneously. (I'm not sure if Yahoo allows free users to use POP or IMAP, but gmail does!)

my favourite is windows live mail desktop, it should run all the standard email protocols, and It runs all my emails (like 5) at the same time, and I can drag emails into other accounts folders
