Sounds to me like your Router is not allowing you access to some SSL sites, there are two different "Secure" Licenses used over the net, SSL and TSL - one of these may be being blocked.

Have a check that your Netgear Router has port 443 open - believe TSL and SSL both use this, although im not 100% as for TSL - Anti-Trend will post back with the answer to this..
