Stupid client can't connect to the work server, even though it says I've finished my WU.

You'll have that. It'll keep trying to upload the WU every so often until it can upload it. Meanwhile, it'll work on a new WU.

WU=Work Units.

Actually, that should be points. My bad...why didn't I realize it earlier?

It's a measure of data that's been processed through the Folding @ Home distributed computing project. It's a totally volunteer thing to do. Basically, you download and install the distributed computing software and it runs in the background, using CPU cycles you don't. F@H in particular is an ongoing project to help find cures for cancer and other such diseases. People can go solo, but mostly join a team, like ours. Usually, they're members of other techie forums, like [H]ard|OCP and 2CPU (which, ATM, are out of our league).

Check the sticky at the top of this forum. It's got all the links, particularly where to download the software.
