Informative post, BB. I wish I'd read that a while back when I learned the hard way about getting cheap power supplies ... !
All those units are great and I've found that if you want a good, future-proof unit and you're on a little bit of a budget, go for Tagan. I just got me one of those and it was relatively inexpensive and it comes with a lot of oomph, PCI-E cables, 20 or 24-pin m/b connectors and it's pretty much silent. Doesn't look that bad either!
