Right guys I need to build a new PC for someone and to be honest I don't know what I should get. This is not a gaming PC but a Multimedia PC. Main purpose of the PC is to do university work e.g. using MS office, photoshop, dreamweaver. I would also think the PC will be used to watch movies etc Oh TFT included would be great and I already have a PSU I can use.
I will be using ebuyer.com - the UK's largest independent online retailer of computers as the retailer of my choice. thanks guys

Well, I think I've got something close.
Motherboard: Asus M2NPV-MX £48.81 inc VAT CPU: Athlon64 X2 4200+ £122.72 inc VAT Video Card: AOpen GeForce 6200TC 128MB £22.99 inc VAT RAM: Kingston 1GB DDR2-667 £67.99 inc VAT Hard Drive: Seagate 250GB SATAII £49.41 inc VAT Optical Drive: Pioneer DVR-111BK 16x DVDRW £23.80 inc VAT Case: CoolerMaster Centurion 5 £38.72 inc VAT Display: BenQ 15" TFT £93.11 inc VAT Total w VAT: £467.55 I tossed in the video card, as any on-board solution derives from the system memory. The motherboard I picked out has on-board video if you decide to drop the video card. I figured the dual-core would be useful, and it was just a few £'s extra from a single-core (I think the 3500+). |
