Greetings my friends... I've got a question.
I just got a $60 DVD player that allows video upscaling up to 1080p. This is my first "baby step" towards high-difinition. I used to use my PS2 as a DVD player and compared to this thing and running video through HDMI the PS2=POS. BE GONE! Anyway, one of the reasons I wanted to get this player is so that I could maybe have some chance of encoding 15-20 min true 1080p videos onto regular 9.4GB DVDs (or 4.7GB, whichever). The guys at circut city told me "yes, YES you could!" but I don't think they were too bright as they told me that the player I bought has "Optical Output" for audio and it only had Digital Coaxial which made me spend an extra $20 on that cable. Fuckin' fags.. So.. Is it possible? Can I just render an MPEG2 video in 1920x1080 (in Premere Pro using a 1080p HD Camera as the source of the content) and record it on a DVD? Will the player be able to read it and display it in full resolution on my 42" if I do my encoding correctly? Thanks for your comments! btw, newegg customers complained about this player but I see no problems with it at all. __________ Post Count: Post # - 64 |
