Yes it is dual core ^_^
I don't follow though - check my previous posts - There's 3 where I'm considering Core DUO.

Probably something along the lines of:
Core DUO 1.6GHz CPU
1GB DDR2 RAM
80GB HDD
Basic graphics as they're not really needed for general use, I don't really play games.

My Grandad gave me a cheque for £1,000 today (as a kind of 'Well done for getting into Uni - here's some money for your laptop etc'), I'm going to be spending a little over £700 on this laptop.
It's got Core DUO (1.66GHz, 2MB Cache), 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD and decent enough graphics for me.
I may call them about the 'low cost double memory offer' and see how much that is, if it's not too expensive, I'll probably get it.
It'll certainly put this pile of junk to shame, w00t!!

£800 got me:
1.66GHz Core DUO (2MB Cache)
2GB DDR2 RAM
120GB HDD
128MB Dedicated ATI1400 Graphics
15.4" Widescreen Display.
Built in: Bluetooth, Webcam and 5-in-1 Media Card Reader.
Not bad eh?!
