Default After market FHS on ASUS M2N-SLi Deluxe

I'm just wondering what after-market FHS's people have stuck on this board. I'm building a machine soon with that board and an AMD 5200+. While I probably won't OC it, the work I do can keep the CPU at 100% for long periods of time. Also, if I'm going to build a higher end machine, I might as well trick it out.
I'm thinking about going for the Thermaltake Blue Orb II. I'd go with a Zalman, but they're freaking huge.

Actually, now that I've looked at it again, the Blue Orb is about the size of a Zalman 7500, so I'm not sure it would work either, but I'd still like to here from anyone with this board.

I believe Zalman has a motherboard compatibility list on their website, but I'm not sure about Thermaltake.

Thanks BigB, unfortunately, their chart is only good up to July of 2005. They have exactly one AM2 board listed.

It probably wouldn't hurt to e-mail them about it. My guess is that it probably will, given how Asus is one of the largest motherboard companies out there. You might also check out some reviews around the web and see what motherboards are used in testing.

I'd like to know this to as I was planning on buying a new cooler for my AMD 4200+ I want to over clock some more but I've already gone to the top temp that I would like to go, but I have the Asus mainboard you want and there are many heatsinks on it.

Zalman finally updated and the M2N-SLi Deluxe will take the 9500-AM2 cooler, so no worries.
Sunny87, head over to the Zalman site and you can see the new updated compatibility chart. Just make sure you have a case big enough.

Hi everyone I finally received my HSF 9500, all I can say is “wow” this is a wicked cooler and was really easy to install onto my machine it’s pretty big but not as big as some I've seen.

If you’re going to buy this hsf get the OCZ ultra 5+ silver thermal compound this will help as the compound that comes with it it’s minimal and I should imagine crap, five-ten minuets to install it.

The one thing I don't like is that it moves once installed, it won’t move from its spot but it can swivel around and I find that odd.

Other than that is brought the temp of my CPU to 30-33 idle and I'm about to test after an anti virus scan the heat after that.

It should have a mechanism to lock it in place and keep it from swiveling. It's made to do that so you can direct the air towards the outtake fan, where ever in the case it might be.

It’s only got one lock and that’s it, it seems to hold into place but you can swivel it slightly left and right.

Its not a problem as I've fully tested it and it's running warmest at 35-37 god only knows what temps it was getting up to before.

My next save up upgrade is the AMD Athlon FX-62 dual core CPU, should cool that down hopefuly..
