Default Anarchy...

What is wrong with Anarchists? Do they think that by removing all stability form the world we will prosper? I have some Anarchist friends and I can't stand to talk to them about politics because they just can't seem to understand that without a governing body there would be nothing stopping their neighbor from killing them because the neighbor liked their shoes. I guess people cannot figure things out and see that Hurricane Katrina plunged the gulf coast into anarchy for a week or so and during that time I didn't see people running down there to get a house. Have people completely lost their minds? I don't know about anybody else here but I don't want to have to fortify my house and stay inside unless I have an assault rifle and body armor. The bottom line for me is that anarchy is a great way to convince people of the same intelligence that people can get along by themselves but it exposes your incompotence to everyone with an IQ over 40. Well, I like a good debate so I encourage any anarchists to challenge my opinion but if I were one there is no way I would ever admit it.

Yeah I don't know, in a utopia it would work naturally but everyone has a different vision and there's simply too many confilicting interests and dumb selfish people around for it be be feasible.

A government of some sort is necessary to tie people together. Kinda like glue. Unfortunately, we have a problem that's almost the opposite of anarchy.

..but, as far as anarchy goes, it'd only work for so long. Someone will eventually come up and make themselves the boss, and depending on how noble the person is, this could be a very bad thing.

We need as little government involvement as possible. However, it is needed, or there's gonna be lots of chaos.

Yea, Anarchy works in theory, just like Communism does, but we all know how well that works in practice. I believe that our type of governement is almost as good as it gets (notice I didn't say perfect, a perfect government is a nice dream). The triumvirate-like system we have, however, does show some sides of favoring certain branches. One of my friends thought a complete democracy would be nice. Hahaha. Complete democracy and capitalism, good luck. You would spend too much time voting on legal matters to have a job. Oh well.

That's why we have a democratic republic--we send representatives to speak for us. Of course, the representatives seem to forget (for the most part) that they're representing us...Maybe if we're lucky, this lobbyist scandal will flush a lot of the turds down the toilet.

Yea, politicians aren't in it for the betterment of society.
