I don't like maiden, but some covers done by other people of their songs sound pretty good

Got that right, Pain for Pleasure, for one.

Personally I don't like Iron Maiden all that much, too tame, rather like Black Sabbath.

i like iron maiden, my friend has seen them in concert and says they're amazing, nothing like anyone else, so much energy and generally a good show as well as music, i like them but i dont care what they're like in concert as i've seen pink floyd (at live8) and this annoys my friend, HA!

Yea, I love Iron maiden. the first song of theirs I heard was Fear of the Dark, even though I didn't hear it done very well. I heard this guy who has been playing guitar for like 2 days and thinks hes the best thing since bread, sliced or not. It was awful, but thankfully for me he had a CD of them in the background and when he got miserably lost and stopped palying I could hear the saong as it was meant to be.
