My Computer

Default Can PCI-e pin be used for AGP card?

I am interested in this PSU. My mobo only supports AGP cards so I have Sapphire HD 3850 video card. The PSU has PCI-e 6 pin. Can that be used for an AGP card?

first, it can if the card itself has a compatible outlet for the pin.

second, I'd say that the PSU will come with some convertors from the new pins to the old ones. If not, you can always get them in every self-respecting computer-oriented store...

I assume that you have this card or something very similar. If you got that card on the Newegg page you will get a 2 molex to one 8-pin adapter.

Then you should be able to get an adapter similar to it. Or more likely a pci express 6 pin to 8 pin(looks like the one power supply on that page has a 6+2 pin connector).
