Default Can A poor power supply with high presure on do this harm?

well

my computer dosent work as good as it should

so i searched alot and talked to many people

some one told me

its the power supply

well

i noticed that the power supply is noisy and always make my pc restarts

and it runs the pc and the monitor for 2 years

so this is a good old power supply and i will never forget all what he did for me

ok guys

do u think the computer isnt working like 3.2ghz and 1.5ram because of the power supply?

My Computer

Well, not so fast.
What power supply do you have?
When it restarts, what are you doing?
Have you downloaded a copy of Memtest? (You need to put it on a floppy or CD and boot off of it.) Do you get any errors when you run it?

While I would be inclined to believe that the PSU is the problem, why don't you check a few things first before shoving it off.
