Default Card Reader

HI ALL

New to forum hope you can help.
Using Windows XP

When I plug my digital camera in my computer recognizes it as
Removable Disc(E

When I plug my card reader in it recognizes it as
Removable Disc(F
Removable Disc(G
Removable Disc(H

Now if I try to open any of these a box appears with this message

ie. F:\ IS NOT ACCESSIBLE
INCORRECT FUNCTION

On my previous computer it recognised the camera and allowed access

Has anybody any idea how to resolve this.

Any help appreciated

My Computer

Are you not able to view the files on your digital camera?

you will not be able to open any of the drives your card reader unless there is a card in the corrisponding slot!

Have tried using the microsoft management console to sort this out.
Have enabled Allow Floppy Copy and access to all drivers.
Using the recovery console have typed in

set AllowWildCards = TRUE
set AllowAllPaths = TRUE
set AllowRemovableMedia = TRUE
Still no change.
Windows recocgnises the removable storage devices but will not let me access them.

ANYBODY ANY IDEAS

My Computer

Can you read the contents of the camera on another computer? if not you could try formatting the disk (it will be fat16 or fat32) but you will obviously lose any photo's on it...
