HI ALL
New to forum hope you can help. Using Windows XP When I plug my digital camera in my computer recognizes it as Removable Disc(E ![]() When I plug my card reader in it recognizes it as Removable Disc(F ![]() Removable Disc(G ![]() Removable Disc(H ![]() Now if I try to open any of these a box appears with this message ie. F:\ IS NOT ACCESSIBLE INCORRECT FUNCTION On my previous computer it recognised the camera and allowed access Has anybody any idea how to resolve this. Are you not able to view the files on your digital camera?
you will not be able to open any of the drives your card reader unless there is a card in the corrisponding slot!

Have tried using the microsoft management console to sort this out.
Have enabled Allow Floppy Copy and access to all drivers. Using the recovery console have typed in set AllowWildCards = TRUE set AllowAllPaths = TRUE set AllowRemovableMedia = TRUE Still no change. Windows recocgnises the removable storage devices but will not let me access them. ANYBODY ANY IDEAS |

Can you read the contents of the camera on another computer? if not you could try formatting the disk (it will be fat16 or fat32) but you will obviously lose any photo's on it...

yes, camera ok on another computer, card reader works on another computer, just this computer wont let me access them.
If you put an mp3 player in the same usb slot I can download songs to it and recharge it. getting more and more confused |
