Nope still nothing. i put it to cable select and put it on the top one and nothing.
I cant even detect it in the bios.. I cleared my CMOS a couple of days ago and still nothing. im using PhoniexBIOS 6.0 or something. Do you guys have that?

I think im running phoenix bios as well... last time i checked
Have you tried connecting the DVD rom to one of your friends computer or anyone else's?
And how did you reset your CMOS? Did you take the battery out?

yeah i took my battery out. and moved the jumper over. and waited 30 minutes and put it back.

and yeah, i tested and it worked in my friends computer.

I'm sorry to say, but I'm out of options...

Maybe it could be your IDE slot on your motherboard thats dysfunctional? I'll think more about it and respond if i come up with an answer.
