Default Clock Speed VS Memory Size

I'm looking at one of two cards to complete my sistem and I was wondering which would run faster given the following specs...

More Core Speed (and memory clock)

    Higher Memory Size and Interface

well i would have bought x1950pro but if you want to play halo vs. or you think that you will use vista soon 8600gts may be better for a while but next generation dx10 cards, the ones coming after 8xxx or hd2xxxx series will be better if you will be able to afford one of them buy x1950pro for now otherwise 8600gts

today's games will make better fps on x1950pro if you are concerning it too

I'm not going to Vista anytime soon and I want something that will be able to play Crysis when it comes out. In addition, I'd like to play titles like STALKER and Oblivion with decent graphical settings.

you want me too as a delight, turkish delight

giving a break for joking, you want impossible things

8600gts is a dx10 card and it can't even give good results on dx10 games and bad news crysis will be for dx10 only and there is a gap between the game's release date and the dx10 patch for xp (probably sp3 will build up a basement for installation system & graphics interface and also it will be released in a 7 months time so think of when the dx10 patch will come )

x1950pro is enough for good gaming considering oblivion and (especially) stalker but can't give any promises that it will have crysis worked with some options turned off

considering all these cases you can buy a hd2900xt but it would be expensive compared to these cards

the best way is to buy x1950pro and after 1,5 years another gfx upgrade that's all

Actually, it has been released that Crysis will play on direct x 9 (meaning it will play on both vista and windows.) This is the same with all dx10 games coming out. I have no clue how.. :p Aside, I'm going with the x1950. Thanks for the help.
