My Computer

Default Clock Speed XFX 6600GT AGP8x 128MB

After reading on the net about my card I have noted that the clock speeds are:
Core: 500MHz (seems a little high for a 6600GT)
Memory: 1000MHz
After downloading RivaTuner it reported my Memory Clockspeed at 1000MHz but my core clockspeed at only 300MHz.
Why is this?

Okay, after checking out RivaTuner it turns out there are 3 different settings
Standard 2D Clock = 300/500
Low Power 3D Clock = 500/500
Performance 3D Clock = 500/500
So that setting was the Standard 2D Clock...

Okay i've got my card running at 600/1200 and i tested quickly with the nVidia test thing, now I'm going to run 3DMark2001 to see if it's okay, i'm still scoring under 10,000 though.

Nice Overclock.
I have an XFX 6800 GT 256 meg running at 415/1130. I'm getting good benchies: 3dmark '05 - 5404 Aquamark - 41,916. I also softmodded it to an Ultra using RivaTuner which increased my scores a bit because of the increased voltage.

Awesome job guys, yeah the 6 series OC's pretty well, though my 6800 didn't exactly blow my socks off I didn't screw with the voltage either.

I'm planning on betting better cooling so I can increase the core to 430 and still be stable.

Well I don't know if the extra 10Mhz would be worth it to me but you'd be able to keep your card longer and improve resale value at least.
