Default connecting USB hard drive to router

Will using a simple USB to ethernet adaptor be sufficient for connecting my external USB hard disk to router for networked storage?

My Computer

The only sort of usb to ethernet adapter that i am aware of add ethernet to a computer (usb PLUG with a RJ45 [network] SOCKET) and cannot be used for attaching storage to a network!

you will need something like this: Linksys Network Storage Link NSLU2 - NAS server
[which i found on froogle, price sort low to high, usb to ethernet NAS - Froogle ]
