Have you installed the latest patch for the game?
Ok, My windows is going down the crapper, and problem after problem start magically appearing. I got a new one today. I played bf2142 for about an hour, went to work, came home and tried to play again and right when I got to the customize your pack screen my cursor just stopped moving.
Everything else works, my keyboard, sound and I can even watch the fight if I would like too. Just the mouse freezes.
I don't have any clue as too what is going on. Any ideas?
thx, help is appreciated.

My Nvida drivers are 9.1.4.7, and my direct x is up to date. I had made no changes other then that patch for the game. But like I said I tried an earlier patch and it still didn't work.
I'm thinking that the patch changed some other setting that BF2142 didn't like. Now I just need to find out how to change it back.
If I'm right, then games from Electronic Arts save their settings into the My Documents folder. If you could locate the settings files (my documents > EA games > Battlefield 2), then maybe you can set everything back to their defaults. Those files have a name like config.cfg, settings.dat, or something ending with .set. That depends on it. Otherwise try to contact EA games about it.
EDIT: There is a newer version of your graphics driver available HERE
