Default Dell Overclocking

I recently upgraded my "good" computer, and supposedly, the LED of the my "good" computer isn't correct, so I had it taken to Fry's last night and its going to take a while because they are "backed-up" So its going to take about a month or two... so yeah sucks balls. Probably, the new MB and CPU I installed is probably fried, so I am really fucked, but anyways...

I found a 5 year-old Dell and the CPU is only 2.00ghz. I wanted to over clock it so its faster, but the Dell BIOS is locked. Is there any way to upgrade the BIOS or unlock it so I can over clock the CPU? I'm not really good with over clocking... so maybe a guide would help too, thanks.

My Computer

Well, Dell, like most major system builders lock the BIOS to prevent users from changing settings that would compromise functionality and/or stability. Outside of making a modded BIOS yourself, any BIOS for the motherboard is likely from Dell, which wouldn't address the options you're looking for.

The only real option outside of using a different motherboard is to use a program, like ClockGen and overclock through Windows. However, you're likely going to be limited to adjusting the FSB and seeing how far the stock voltage will stably take you.

Damn dude you know everything. I really appreciate you helping me so much. I tried the clock gen, but it didn't work too well, but its fine. After screwing around so much with the other computer, I just don't want to risk it happening to this one, maybe I will try after my other computer is working again.
