[H]ard|OCP runs DFI's latest nForce 4 SLI motherboard through the gauntlet of testing.
My experience with the DFI nF4 SLI-DR Expert from start to finish was completely free of problems. I expected it to overclock well, but it totally blew me away with what it could do: all on mediocre air cooling. The only complaints I have for this board would be the shortfall in memory speed in a 4x512 configuration; which is actually an AMD CPU limitation more than a DFI one. The DIMM placement could be better laid out, as it may require moving your PSU in order to change the memory configuration. Most of our regular's know how much I love my LanPartyUT Ultra-D and my general positive opinion of DFI, so, yeah, seeing the [H] review DFI's newer NF4 board piqued my intrested. They seemed to be very impressed with it, although they do point out, this probably isn't a board for n00bs. But, read for yourself and see. |
