Exclamation Fan issue - please help

Hi all, i have bought a fan controller but i am having problems finding fans (any size) preferably 80mm and 120mm which has blue leds and also a rpm sensor so i can monitor the speed.

Does anyone know where i can find these and if they make fans with rpm sensors and blue leds, thanks.

Antec has some nice fans available in different colors.

I'm not sure, but fans with 3 pin connectors can all be monitored, 2 wires for power and 1 for reporting fan speeds. Someone with more knowledge should verify this to be sure.

Greetings

There's some on there, they're 3 pin fans I think and come with an adapter so you can run them off molex connections. I have coolermaster blue LED fans with 3 pins and they're almost exactly the same as those Akasa ones, I got mine from OcUK as well.

Did you actually click the link I provided in my post? It'll direct you to a productpage with led fans from Antec.

Either way, other posters also mentioned some nice fans, most computer stores I know sell modding equipment too.

Good luck

are the 3 wires colours red, black and yellow. Yellow being the rpm sensor wire so it allows you to control the fan speed.

Not always, mine aren't but they allow for RPM detection.

The colour of the wire is just for easy recognition of what each wire does, colour coding wires is an easy way of being able to say "Red wire does XXXX, Black wire does XXXX Yellow wire does XXXX" then when people use other 'stuff' with the same colour wires they expect the same configuration as the previous model, in some cases the colour codes are a National / International Standard.

I don't onestly know, I got them from OcUK and they were just Coolermaster LED Fans. They spin at 1800RPM I think...

*checks gatewatch*

Yes, 1800RPM.
