Default fan mb

i have a SKT 775 p4 motherboard

u put the fan into 4 holes around the p4 through the board - the same as the heatsink holder goes in older socket boards - but 1 doesnt fully click down - u have to turn the little bit clockwise or something - it is still right through the other end of the motherboard and the fan seem solid in place just not down as much in one corner as the rest - seems too tight to get down. the motherboard is bending slightly because the fan is in so tightly.

will this damage my p4 if this is not FULLY locked down?

oh, sorry, just presumed it was a H/S & fan, but if its just a fan as you say, then yeah it'll be fine, as the air is flowing well.
