Default GMail

Does anybody else get a lot of spam in their gmail account? I have two and I seem to get three or four messages per hour in each.

Yeah it just goes right to the spam folder. Does google not have a spam filter to delete messages marked as spam?

The fact that it's marked as spam in the first place should tell you something. If you leave the spam folder alone, the contents are automatically deleted after a while. It's actually nice in case a friend accidentally gets blacklisted; you can search the spam right along with all your other mail.

Yes, on top of this you can have Gmail set to delete messages at certain intervals. I just leave it alone for the reason Anti-Trend just mentioned, but its your decision.

My Computer

I don't get much spam in gmail, although just recently, like a week ago, the flow has dramatically jumped up for some reason. Still, I certainly don't get anywhere near as much as you describe. Now I'm getting like 1 message per day, perhaps? I used to get like 1 every several weeks, maybe as rare as 1 per month...
