i get told today that i pay £112 for vista ultimate 32 and it runs at about 25 something or other less that the older xp are they having a laugh dear fu**ing god im fu**ing screwed
I don't quite get what your saying here. You paid for vista ult 32bit? How do you mean it runs at 25?
i think he ment, he paid £112 for vista ultimate, 32bit & it funs at about 25% slower than XP, correct ?
I personally don't see the point in buying Ultimate. The only additions that you get compared to Premium, is Remote Desktop and the word Ultimate in the logon screen. And only that for a much higher price.
LOL, how did you come up with 25%? Anyway to your question - yes, this is what you get. Should have stuck to XP...... Vista is a con to rope in people who think they need to be at the cutting edge of technology..... meh! :x: Did you know that they are selling PC's in Switzerland pre-loaded with Vista with an option to downgrade to XP??? Need I say more? You want to pay for your OS? Good luck to you mate.....
You should have got Vista home premium instead of ultimate because there is hardly any difference apart from a few minor details. Home premium OEM version is like £60-£70 which is what i got and there has been no problems with it. Ultimate is seriously not worth it return it if you can and get home premium OEM.
I have to disagree there... the only reason I have Vista at all installed is for the poker 'texas holdem' ultimate extra hehe
I have to use Vista at work in my IT support role and it's awful! Microsoft have found more ways to slow you down in your administration. By trying to make Vista more easy, they've infact made it harder and more cumbersome!
Agreed. I've never had to help so many people migrate to Debian than after Vista came out. Even my dad, who was die-hard Windows, decided to throw in the towel. He read a 400-page Linux book and had me throw Debian "Lenny" on his laptop for him. Runs XP in VirtualBox for those MS-only apps he's still stuck with.
