Subject: Cyberdefender is it a good anti-virus program? At home, I got a couple of viruses in the last month or so, even though I had Norton anti-virus on my system and ESET – both were installed on my system by my ex. I am looking at anti-virus programs; I want to pay because my experience with free software has not been all so wonderful. I looked at a few and liked Cyberdefender and PC Tools. I liked that Cyberdefender seems to be a more complete package, covering anti-virus, Trojans, spyware, id theft protection. ESET, also had a nice user interface, but I had a hard time figuring out which would be the best version for me. I also liked Cyberdefender is a public company, but is it a good anti-virus program? Better then ESET?
If you want the Best , then take a look at Kaspersky.... It is suppose to be the best.. I use Avast Pro, I like it and works real good.. Also make sure you get a firewall..
I've always had trouble with Kaspersky, resulting in an unstable system (especially with Vista). But Avast and NOD32 always worked fine for me
That's weird. I rarely have seen problems with Kaspersky on any version of Windows. Certainly not the degree of problems that I've seen with Norton. But to answer grow14me2's question, I would use any of the software recommended so far: Kaspersky, Nod32, or Avast. All three of those programs have very good virus detection but not so good spyware detection. For spyware protection, I would use the paid version of Malware Bytes Anti-Malware by going to Malwarebytes.org. If I were in your shoes, I would probably get a combination of Avast and Malwarebytes. You have to remember that the biggest protection against malware is careful web browsing. Do not download and install things you are not familiar with. Feel free to come here and ask about software before you install it. All the protection in the world will not keep you safe if you do not know how to use it and use common sense on the web.
:agree: i personally haven't being keeping my eye on the ball with antivirus / antispyware i would have probably chosen Ad-Aware by lavasoft, Malwarebytes.org is a new one to me i've being consentrating on security recently, i'll have to try to remember to keep my eye on the ball at least once a month to try and keep up with the constant changes
Due to my line of work, I have to run a lot of different AV/AS programs every day. You should definitely try out Malware Bytes. I specifically recommended the paid version because of the benefits of real-time protection, etc. But you have a good point as well with Ad-Aware, though I don't really like their new version. Either way, I suggest the paid versions to people that aren't so tech savvy. Paid versions usually provide automated and real-time protection. Most people don't remember to do the scans themselves.
I see other people recommending Kapersky and other softwares, burt Ive got ta tell you, I use CYberdefender and I really like it. I would give it two thumbs up. Kapersky is really espensive, but Cyberdefender is good and resonable!
I haven't ever heard of Kaspersky, but I have been having really good luck using Cyberdefender too. Not only is the price reasonable, but it comes with great 24/7 tech support which I really need
I have been using Cyberdefender as well, and my experience is positive because I have had no virus problem since it has been install.
