Sorry for the trouble; I will ask Sniper to look into it for you. He's the vBulletin expert, and he's got a lot of custom hacks running under the hood that I don't want to disturb. For now, I've made a manual tweak to be sure you're in the right user category. Is it working for you now?

Yes it is thank you very much.

I actually wanted to see the soundcard you listed. I might buy it.

50 posts for access to the BST section...that is something that makes sense.

50 for an avatar.....that's just pointless..

It's not pointless, just a way to reward active members when they contribute to the community. I'm using the same policy on my forum.

Just to add; Once every 24 hours the forum software checks for pending jobs. Therefore it can take up to 24 hours to give you access to the 50+ features once you reach 50 posts.

it's bad practice to restrict basic features.....lots of forums out there....you're only gonna turn regular forum-goers (like me) away. the only defenders of this policy have 1000+ posts....

someone with 20,000 posts spread across multiple forums has to pick a cartoon face here until you've seen more google ads than the search engine pumps out. that's a bad joke....and this is a bad forum.

btw...this forum seems far more concerned with ad revenue than community.

let me just remind everyone that there are a ton of good forums out there. not only are all of them free, but also aren't packed full with ads.

    1. The staff of HWF is all volunteer.
    2. The owner pays for the hosting out of his own pocket, and the ad revenue doesn't come close to covering it.
    3. If there are so many better forums out there, why are you here? So far all I've seen from you is nagging, griping and causing problems.

Well why not? You're acting like a child, so a cartoon avatar suits you fine for now :)

And if you managed to make 20.000 posts across multiple forums, you wouldn't have any trouble creating 50 here.

Like AT said, hosting costs money, a lot. The costs need to be covered in some way. And no, the money doesn't spawn by itself.
