Do you get an error message?

Whats the error code if you do?

there is no error code. you click sign in and then nothing happens as in nothing.

could it be that i uninstalled sp2?

    i am not sure, maybe.

So it just freezes, or you press the button and its as if the button does not work?

have you tried re-installing it, go to Add or remove programs and uninstall it.

You must've received a message that "Particular Programs" will be affected if you uninstall the SP2! Also, y did u uninstalled it? Coz it SP2 fills lots of security threats nd new features to the windows....However, you can try the old MSN messenger which comes inbuilt with windows..!
