HELP with adaptec avc-2310 videoh media

i have an adaptec avc-2310 videoh media centre usb version
and after installing as per instructions i am getting this error

message
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
i have had it working but had to format and do a fresh reinstall now

all i get is this have ininstalled it and reinstalled it a few times

have been to adaptec website dl drivers incase cd was at fault and have

used a reg cleaner
nothing seems to fix the problem
have contacted adaptec support but a snail would be quicker than them

have tried calling them but unfortunately the europe line is in german

and i only speak english
os is xp home
can anyone give me any suggestions please
