Exclamation How good is this rig?

How long would this rig be able to play most games?

2.66Ghz Intel Core 2 Quad (4 CPU's)
nVidia GeForce 9500GS
3GB RAM
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit (x86)

Could it still be able to play most games in, say, 2010 without upgrading?

Is the OS holding the system back?
What is your opinion?

That graphics card is really quite poor for games out now let alone in 2010 I'm afraid.

That would definitely be the first thing to upgrade.

not a bad system, yea the card is pretty poor. 2010 it should still be fairly good, plus you can also overclock the cpu if you have a fairly high FSB motherboard. but should consider a graphics card upgrade.

Sounds good, would get at least a 9800 for the graphics card though.

the processor and ram are fine, but that graphics card struggles to play today's games, and It's worth well under $100. I am upgrading my 9600GT this year. You should think about a 4850 or atleast a 9800 and if that's too expensive cut down the the processor.
