Default I cant change windows XP memory usage to "programs".

I am trying to change it to programs. Windows XP askes for a restart, but after the restart it is back to system cache . How do i change it to programs and get it to stay there after the restart?

Welcome to hwf
If you select Programs, does the button Apply lit up? If so then try to click on Apply and then OK.

If thats the case the look which programs are starting on the PCs startup. Try and stop one by one and see if it tells you which program is doing it
