Default Improvements in wine

Have to say I'm surprised with the amount of programs that run almost flawlessly under wine.

Some features which you wouldn't think wine would be able to emulate work fine. Recently I installed express scribe in linux, since I have a part time job as a transcriber. It installed and had full audio support, keyboard shortcut, audio slowing.

Still can't get my own Amarok-clone that I made for Windows work, but hey you can't win them all.

I agree; I gave up my Cedega subscription ages ago in deference to plain old WINE. Still, I'm affected by two recent regressions which still weren't fixed in the 1.0 bug squashing fest:

Bug 12143 - Black halos surround NPCs in Fable
Bug 13256 - Age of Mythology: missing bilinear filtering

I also gave up Cedega. I still have an install on my server in the event that I absolutely need it for a game, but I haven't felt the need to use it for anything in probably the last six months.
