Ive been looking at laptops and im torn between an AMD X2 TL-50 and the Intel Pentium Dual Core T2060.
Im lost with the Intel T2060. They (Intel) call it a Pentium and its 1.6ghz, 1mb L2, 533mhz, 32bit, no HT, 65nm. Or is it a Core Duo with the Pentium name? What wattage? The AMD is 1.6ghz, 2x256kb L2, and 31w. Its gonna be using Vista just for the internet and watching DVDs etc. The Intel is in the Dell Inspiron 6400 and the AMD is in the Inspiron 1501. The Intel one is about £10 more but I think the hdd is faster. Many Thanks guys! |

I have to go with the AMD on this one, though with such use as "using Vista just for the internet and watching DVDs" They are both MORE than adequate. But for the sake of effeciency, I would recomend the 64bit chip for Vista, because if M$ makes good on their promises about whats to come in future updates(I'm not betting on it), then the 64-bit architecture will make a big difference.
