Default Lesser in SLI/Beter single?

I'm planning on buying a new PC within half a year, but I can't decide what to do with my GPU.

The reason I can't make my choice, is that I don't know one crucial thing: is it better to buy 2 GPUs that are not that good, but half the price, or buy 1 GPU that is better?

For example:
I can buy 2 ATI HD4670 GPUs with a clock speed of 750 MHz for €75 each, making it a total of €150. Or I can buy 1 ATI HD5770 with a clock speed of 850 MHz for €150. In price they don't differ, but how is that in performance?

Hope I can get help here

Take the HD5770, hands down. DX11, GDDR5 + other new features. I think that it would overpower the two old mid-end cards.

Overall my opinion is that dualmode is not the way to go with low-end cards. because if you can buy a mid-end card, go for that one, instead of going for two low-ends. And who knows - you buy the mid-end card and in a year or so you can add another one and you get some serious performance that is still quite ok.

And I would still choose a dual-core card over two one cores. Just because for the possibility of latter expandability But that's just me.

I assume that SLI in this case is meant to be Crossfire.

AFAIK, an SLi configuration will not give you exactly double the performance just because you are using two cards..so i would suggest you go for one high end card rather than two mid end cards, one good card will beat two medium cards hands down.
