Hi All - my first post
Just trying to set up my new Lexmark X5495 4-in-1. It prints ok but I cannot get the scanner to work. Although it was a cheapie bargain I still expect it to work! I have looked through the manual/user guide and even googled Lexmark site and elsewhere for information but cannot find anything that will help. Any ideas please or where can I find this information as I can't think of anywhere else to look. Many thanks Alison |

Welcome to the forums!
The scanner driver for 4in1's has to be (or at least is helpfull if) installed via it's own installer package - it needs extra files than the add hardware wizard will ever find, did you let the installer run all the way through? Also have you unlocked the scanner bed - usually a slide-switch somewhere on the back or bottom.
