Default ( Microsoft)-XP Install problem

While Installing windows Xp SP2 my keyboard loses power and wireless reciever stops working at the point where all files are loaded and under the blue set up screen of XP it shows " loading windows".

wireless desktop 1000-Micosoft

Pls help.

What i Have already tried.
1. Tried diffrent USB Port
2. Enabled Legacy USB support on Bios
3 Tried to reconnect
4.This first time during previous set up worked fine
5. Changed batteries

My Computer

Can you not just use an old ps2 keyboard, or a standard usb one? Just to get you through the install screens I mean.

You cannot Use a wireless Keyboard or Mouse when setting up XP..
You have to use PS2, I have even run into problems when using a USB keyboard on startup....

I had no problems earlier with wireless keyboard during setup this is the first time

They make so many different wireless keyboards/mouses now days...
That is why they all come with there OWN Driver Disk..
in which XP will NOT find ON SETUP...
