My Computer

Default motherboard temp 48'c

according to asus probe (my motherboard temp monitor) it says mobo is 48'c and cpu 37. q-fan controls are disabled and i even opened the case but makes v little difference, room temp is pretty cool

i assum 48'c isnt nominal any ideas, will a northbridge fan+heatsink help
i have asus p5n-e sli

any help appreciated thanks

Actually, 37 Degrees Celcius is a good temperature for a CPU. And about the motherboard temperature; if it would overheat, the system should turn off by itself.

not normal but tolerable i can say it can go up to 65 degrees celcius without no problem at 70 it will shutdown immediately but check your case fans or add more too make a cool ventilation beacuse if you can make it aprox. 35 degrees system will speed up a bit more

thanks for replies

weird thing is its cool inside case but its saying 48'c and thats at idle. i have fans at full (one rear, psu and gpu blow air out).. faulty sensor perhaps?
