Default My future PC

I liked that xJustin8x put his specs up, and asked everyone's opinion, and thought I would do the same. From what I have read everything is compatable, and some have been suggested on the boards. As I am new to this I am just nervous about making a mistake. Any thoughts or changes I should make. Right now it all rings up to about 1400USD, I would like to keep it under 1500USD. Thanks in advance.

My Computer

The only things i'd suggest is a Different HDD, from the likes of Western Digital or Seagate and possibly getting a Full Tower case instaed of the Mid-Tower as that it may be a tight fit getting that 7800 in there!

Ahh, exactly the type of mistake I want to avoid, I read a reivew saying that the case had lots of room, and it looked good. Thanks for the advice I will look more into the case and research a bit more on the HD.

Have you checked out a new case? A full-tower one would be good as some newer graphics cards are quite large and a mid-tower won't be big enough.

If you're not attached to having a modular power supply, you can find more powerful ones for the same price or less than that Antec 480 NeoPower. Antec and Enermax both have more powerful units for less. I believe Antec's TruePowerII 550 and Enermax EG 565P-VE are less than that NeoPower unit, or at least very close to it.

Plextor is good, but if you absolutely don't have to have that brand, Samsung, Pioneer, and Lite-ON are all much cheaper alternatives.

While I've been pretty happy with my Maxtors, I have seen the company starting to seemingly slide in quality control in the past year or so. Seagate and Western Digital provide solid hard drives for the same price or so. Additionally, Samsung has 120-160GB drives for pretty cheap. Right now, 160GB drives seem to be the sweet spot for space for the money.

I chose this case,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811165008

and I switched to this hard drive,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148065

I am hoping that they prove to be decent. I haven't looked into other power supplies though, all the reviews said that that one was good. I placed my order already though, so I hope it is ok.

The NeoPower480 isn't terrible, but you could've gotten more power for the money. Good choice on the hard drive.
