Creative Labs Inspire 5100, I got em for £40.
Way too loud, even when only half turned up, which is perfect for my needs. Surround sound is fantastic, although you do need to buy additional stands for the back speakers, costing £40 as well. Plus you need a 5.1 sound card, so you won't get a lot of change out of £100, but they look damn cool. |

Logitech do some good surround speakers and the sound card can be found cheaply.

What do you want surround sound for? Mainly movies since you don't play games that much.

Radeon 9800XT?! Shouldn't you be better off with a GeForce 6600GT?

Tell him that he doesn't know how to keep up with current technology and is throwing away his money.
