Default New Project :)

Here is what i am getting so far

Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB SATA2 32MB 7200RPM

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz Socket LGA775, 8MB, BOXED w/fan

Corsair TWIN2X 6400 DDR2, 4096MB CL5, Kit w/two matched CM2X2048-6400 Dimm's

XFX GeForce 8800GTX 768Mb dog

I still have a case, optical, floppy drive, 250gb sata and psu from a previous build a few years ago.
So i will integrate those into my build, my question is, do you think these parts listed above are compatible
with each other? I cant seem to settle on a mainboard, dont want to spend too much on that but i want one that
would last, dont care if its upgradable in the future or if its sli, happy enough with the g-card im getting.
Can anyone recommend a mainboard?

Thanks

dont be ridiculas, get a 9800gtx, or 4850 over that.

grab a p5k for a mobo...well i think my question should be, are u overclocking?

Personally i would not get corsair ram, as i have had a few sets and they sucked, i would grab 4 gb crucial tracers (not the normal ballistix ones because they are now one sided and do not over clok very well.)

What psu do u have? (not the wattage, either tell me the amps on the 12v rail(s) or the name of the psu (model also)

They are roughly around the same price atm becuase the new Nvidia 260GTX and 280GTX are out so 9 series is no longer the flag ship card for Nvidia
