Yeah that's right. DTS is a surround system. You can read more information about it here: Digital Theater System - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

hmmm, i plan to use my pc for everythin, 22 " monitor should be good enough as a tv. i would hope that speakers dont have to be upgraded as quick as otheyr componenets such as cpu. Willz im debating between the z-5500's u have and the other speakers in that class i think they are z-5450 or something, the thought of £200 speakers without wireless seems expensive but the z-5450's are the same price but do have wireless rear speakers but i have no idea if the sound quality is better or worse

The quality of a wireless set should be the same as a wired set, as long as you keep all components in range. Using wireless components will eliminate the need to use all those cables

Some people say the rear speakers on the Z5450 are lower quality sound.
I would get the Z5500. the rear speakers each have a plug on the Z5450 which need ot be plugged into seperate power sockets, some people say its hell getting the rears to work properly too, the Z5500 rear speakers have long enough cable to the subwoofer, and you can buy longer cable if need be. The Z5450 only has Wireless rear speakers, personly i dont think its worth it since the wired version of the Z5450 is like £130. The z5500's have bigger drivers in the sattelites, 2.5" in z5450s, 3" in z5500, same for sub, 10" in z5500, 6.5" in z5450, larger the cone area, larger the enclosure makes it move more air which in turn makes it louder.

Yea, i noticed there good performance for the price, i am thinking maybe i should get a pair for my computer as my Z5500's are currently shared between the computer and the TV.
