Cool New System - Worth the price?

Thinking of buying a whole new system and i've come across what seems to be a good system. It includes :-
P4 550 HT 3.4ghz (800 mhz front side bus)
Geforce 6610 XL (128mb DDR3 Mem @800mhz, GPU 400 Mhz PCI-Express x16 bus Architecture). I cant seem to find much info about this card apart from its only a oem card.
Pioneer Dual Format DVD-RW
DVD-Rom drive
DVB-T
Bluetooth
250 GB HDD (8mb cache S-ATA 150 Interface super fast 7200 rpm)
WLAN 54 MBit/s
9 in 1 Memory Card Reader
512 MB Samsung Memory DDR 400mhz
6xUSB 2.0
2xFirewire
8-Channel Intel High Def. Audio (7.1 Surround Sound)
LAN Network Controller
56K Modem
Wireless Keyboard, Mouse and RF remote control
Extensive Software bundle including XP Home, Power DVD, Nero, eTrust Anti Virus, Microsoft Works and Word, plus etc.
The price seems a reasonable 700 pounds but i just wanted some expert advice.
Thanks for any advice you can give.

Personally i wouldn't buy it..

For the same price you could get a REALLY nice 64Bit AMD System.. which are ALOT more powerful than the pentium 4's, even the extremes.. and they will play games alot better..

Your graphics card is a PCI-E Nvidia Ge-Force 6600 Standard 128mb card however they've overclocked it slightly so they call it a "6610"..

Personally i would have alook at these systems:
http://www.meshcomputers.com/updated/essential_64_1.htm

Mesh i have used before for friends e.t.c and they are REALLY very good, all you would need to do to that system is to change the graphics card to a 6800LE or 9800Pro..

and max price is £785 if u go for 9800Pro thats around the same as your 6610 card u had with that system and its still for around £715

Seriously PAY THE EXTRA!!! if u dont have the cash at the moment, save until later this xmas.. and order..

The 939Pin 64Bit is the latest in the 64Bit Amd range and its what they are sticking with... and its a really good system..

Just really don't bother going for a Pentium 4, theres a big debate, and fair enough your 64Bit 3500+ (which is what that machine comes with) only runs at an actual speed of 2.2ghz i think but it will beat your pentium 4 u were thinking of getting in most tests by about 10-20% if not more..

and its 64bit so your ready to take on the new line of 64bit games / programs and use the newest and latest

Bingo. It's nothing personal against Intel, but for sheer performance (particularly in gaming), AMD is the way to go. We're only biased toward whoever has more performance for the money.
