Question No Boot up, Can't even get to BIOS

I've looked around and my problem seems pretty common. I have an old computer, and I decided to try and get it working again after a fan failure, and it worked fine for a while. One day, it suddenly froze as soon as the black screen where you can enter setup comes on. Then I rebooted and now nothing work. When I turn it on, there's none of the usual beeps. I've flicked a few random switches, and if I put more than 4 of them to off, the computer starts beeping. I've tried taking the battery out, but it doesn't do much. I've moved on of my RAM sticks to another slot but that didn't help either.
I have very little idea about my computer's specs as it was custom built in China somewhere, but here goes

-Some ASUS Motherboard
-P4 2.4Ghz
-Maxtor 60GB HDD
-Some DVD Drive
-Some LG CD-RW Drive
-A FLOPPY DISK DRIVE!
-Winfast A170 TE Video Card
-Winfast TV Card
-Some other small card, but I don't know what it is

Help PLEASE!

Looking at your Post seems likely that your MBD is giving you some issues.

check if you are getting Beep sounds / long beep-short beep.

What are the switches u toggled with?

What fan failure ? was it the fan over the processor ? If your pc does not come on, then
it could be a bad power supply... if that fan failure was the processor fan, then it will need a new processor..

Nvm, I got it fixed. I flicked some of those midget "rocker" switches. I had fan sounds and no beeps. Does anybody even know what those switches do?

If it aint a hard power switch or a power converter switch I dont know about it

It seems to me your problem may have been caused by your machine being set for US power instead of what the rest of the world uses, but if I'm wrong please feel free to jump in anyone
