Default no num lock ?

look guys, this is totally weird, but my download rate is usually about 50kb/s, however, if i turn off the numbers lock my download rate goes up to 60 - 80kb/s

now i know that this is not possible, but i'm DLing @ 64.7 now
BTW: can anyone explain this ?

We had a computer in one of the labs that would do strange things like this, in the end it ended up in a skip with a sticker saying 'cursed' on it ^^

well, it appears that i have one here (a cursed system) do you have any recommendations to make my system better ?

The numlock thing really does sound crazy, have you tried using speedtest.net both with and without numlock?
