This might sound wierd, but are the speakers connected to the correct output of the soundcard? And is the sound output not muted?

My Computer

Richt-click on the My Computer icon. Click on Properties. Then go to the Tab Hardware, and click on Device Manager. Are there any exclamation marks there? Also, check in Volume Control if the option WAVE is not muted and the slider is completely to the top.

Most of the time volume option can be muted someware. Check all the posibilities, if your speakers not working.

You have to download those drivers first from the link provided RH in the second reply...And then uninstall those components in yellow marks. Restart your computer, then your computer will detect the new hardware and will ask u to install the drivers for it. Go through that wizard and specify that location where u downloaded those drivers....

First make sure which sound card do you have so that you can grab the exact drivers required for it. Second thing, try and change the PCI slot...
