This is what is says every time I go to try to click on the sound system.
"There are no supported audio device available." I go into sounds and audio device Properties and it says "no audio device" I have a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro and Logitech Z-5500 Digital speakers. I tried to up the driver for the Creative product and it told me that: "Setup is unable to detect a supported product on our system. " If you could please help me. If you need to know anything else just ask. |

Welcome to HWF
![]() First insert the driver cd of the sound card. Go to Control Panel > Add Hardware. Click on Next. The wizard will now search for hardware. It might be possible that the sound card is now detected. If not, then continue reading. Answer "Yes I have already connected the hardware" if asked. Then the list of Installed Hardware appears. Scroll all the way down, and doubleclick on "Add a new hardware device". Select "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (advanced)". Doubleclick on "Sound, video and game controllers". Now click on Have Disk. Search for the driver inf-file on the cd. If the cd is mixed with drivers for more products, then look for the folder SOUND or AUDIO. |

Clearly you've downloaded the wrong driver for your product. Go back to Creative's website and download the correct driver. Install as instructed

you guys are probably wrong :
"when the windows do not detect any device , it is imposible to install any driver!" if you have notice even when you set a dial up modem , in the device manager one yellow question mark will appear, it means windows has detect something ! then you install a driver to tell the windows "what it is" when no audio driver is detected , it means any installation of any driver can't be useful! you should check your windows , you sound card , is it "PCI" ? for windows you should check the files, maybe some updates can help you, if the sound card is in PCI slot , and it is a long time it is stuck in there, pull it out , switch on your pc, check the windows has any changes or not , then again put back your card ! probably windows recognize sound card, THEN you sould install a driver! |

Uninstall ANY drivers you've installed up until now.
Shutdown your computer, disconnect the sound card. Start your PC up again. After Windows has loaded, shut it down once again (i know, just do it )Now, properly connect the audio card back to your PCI slot. Start Windows up. Insert the CD that came with the card and install the drivers as they instruct you with whatever autoplay screen comes up. IF you still have trouble , get the driver directly from here: Creative Worldwide Support |
