Hi everyone,
I've read a bit about audio setups for pc and I am just lost. I was planning on buying a "LOGITECH Z5500 5.1 SPEAKER SYSTEM" for use with my pc. I have a soundcard (razer barracuda ac-1) which has optical out. If i connect the z5500 speakers via optical to the soundcard, will that give me proper 5.1? Because currently i have it set to optical out to a proper yamaha hifi, and it dosn't work properly. By not working properly i mean, i can never get 5.1 to work correctly. Even though the yamaha can take dts and dolby, if i set the optical out to that, i dont get sound out the rear and center speakers, no matter what. I have to set it to digital out 48khz and it seems to work. I was hoping the proper pc sound system would work better. Is this what i should do? |

From what I've seen when Googling reviews, I'd guess it's the receiver being an issue or possibly with the drivers. Try updating the drivers first and see where that gets you.
